Update on proposed acquisition of VREIN by NNEREN
For many years, Vermont REALTORS® have been discussing the idea of a single MLS database that would encompass the entire state of Vermont. Reasons for consideration of such an entity include the small demographic nature of Vermont, the current requirement to enter redundant listing information into multiple databases, the duplicative costs incurred by REALTORS® who use more than one system, and the ability to access comprehensive statewide real estate data. VREIN has been in negotiations with the Northern New England Real Estate Network (NNEREN) regarding these discussions.
